Casa Turire Hotel Turrialba Costa Rica

This 16 room hotel has been one of my favorites for years now. Although I will say it has no A/C in 15 of the rooms I have never heard any of my clients mention this as a problem.

The hotel is on a lake, it is very small but spread out perfectly almost with the feel that you are in a large plantation home arriving in on a driveway of a long row of palm trees. The pool area is small but very well kept along with all the hotel grounds. You are located in a valley and have very good views of the mountains and nearby Turrialba Volcano. The area is also very close to some of Costa Rica's best rafting rivers and Costa Rica's most famous and world renown the Pacuare River.

The food is amazing and if I had to give this hotel one bad comment it would be the coffee is not my favorite but just go with the tea for a night or two.

Who will Enjoy this Hotel?

I will let my past clients do the talking on this one as we have been working with this hote Casa Turire for around 5 years now and we have a 100% satisfaction rate with this hotel. The prices are also very low I feel for the value and service. This hotel works perfect for family vacations and also an amazing spot if you are on a Costa Rican Honeymoon.

New Luxury Hotel In Costa Rica

Cloudforest viewImage by Harry R via FlickrWent to Chirripo a few months back and anyone that has been there knows it is a place about as beautiful as it gets. But the first thing that comes to mind is that it is not a luxury trip. The roads are rough and the living conditions are basic (which is fine still an awesome trip).

Monte Azul Chirripo Costa Rica

Well it looks as if some of this might have changed thanks to the new luxuryBoutique hotel called Monte Azul. I have to be honest as of Sept 2010 I have not visited but that will change very soon and I will be posting on it. This hotel had a recent article in Conde Nast Traveler which put it on it's "Hot List 2010" (Can't be bad for business).

The small hotel looks to be very art-friendly, community and evironmently involved, and located in an area that will give you a full taste of the nature around. It is not too far from the park entrance of Chirripo which could make it a luxury stop for your night before entering the park and your night after coming out of the park.

The Real Costa Rica

Look at the lights. It is like being in Yankee stadium with the cameras going off. This is the ropes show the community puts on during our rural tourism tour. You to can be part of the action if you want to make this just two days part of your family vacation and not stay in a hotel for a few nights. What do you think?

Baile Tipico

Does it get any better than this. Who needs clubs in South Beach when you can come on a family vacation to Costa Rica and throw down with the locals on a Rural Tourism Package put together by Costa Rican Resource:

Rural Tourism Costa Rica

Here is a visit to one of the Soda's. One of our clients sent some backpacks to the family owned sodas and this is a short clip of a video of the kids writing thank you cards just to give you a look at the impact Rural Tourism can have and also a little look at a Soda:
