AARP magazine (May & June, 2008) there was an article on the people of the
Costa Rica’s
Nicoya Peninsula. This is one of the places in the world where people live the longest. They shared their secrets for living healthy to 100.
Here they are:
1. Have a strong sense of purpose. Centenarians of Costa Rica feel needed and want to contribute.
3. Keep a focus on the family. Most centenarians live with family.
4. Eat a light dinner.
5. Maintain
social networks and this includes visiting and receiving visitors.
6. Work hard.
7. Get some sun in moderation.
8. Embrace your roots with others.
