Westhills Costa Rica Adventure 2014

Day 1 -- Arrive and Travel to Ecolodge (Pacuare Ecolodge)

• Arrival of mid afternoon flight would be ideal. Drive to Ecolodge is 2 1/2 hours from airport.
• Dinner at Ecolodge
• Evening Bonfire
• 9pm --- Lights Out

Day 2 -- Raft Pacuare River (Pacuare Ecolodge)

• 7:30am ---- Breakfast
• 9:00am ---- Safety Talks
• 9:30am  ---- Start Rafting
• 11:30am --- Stop for River Lunch
• 2pm --- Take out of River/change clothes/ and drive back to Ecolodge

  

  Pacuare River Rafting Adventure

• 3 o 4pm --- Snacks and Juice at Ecolodge
• 5pm  --- Game with guides
• 7pm ---- Dinner & Bonfire
• 9pm ---- Lights Out

Day 3 -- Breakfast in Village & Travel to Cavern (Sleep Behind Waterfall)

A night in the Cavern!

• 6:30am ---- Leave Ecolodge
• 7:30am --- Arrive at Village for Breakfast
• 9am ---- Travel to Cavern (This is a 4 hour drive over the Central Mountain Ridge/Great Views)
• 12pm --- Stop for Lunch
• 2pm ---- Start Hiking to Cavern
• 4pm ---- Snacks in Cavern
• 5pm ---- Visit 600 ft Waterfall
• 7pm ----- Shower & Dinner
• 8pm ---- Bonfire
• 9pm ---- Lights Out

Rappel Waterfalls

Day 4 -- Rappel Waterfall & Travel to Beach (Beach Hotel)

• 7am ---- Breakfast
• 8am - 11am ---- Rappeling Waterfall
• 12pm --- Lunch
• 1pm ---- Hike to Pools
• 3pm ---- Snacks
• 4pm ---- Hike Out & Drive 30 minutes to Beach Hotel
• 7pm ---- Dinner at Beach Hotel
• 8pm ---- Reflect with Kids
• 9pm ---- Lights Out

Surf Classes

Day 5 -- Surf Classes (Beach Hotel)

• 8am ---- Breakfast
• 9:30am - 12pm ---- Surf Classes
• 12pm - 2pm --- Lunch/pool at Hotel
• 2pm - 5pm --- More Surfing Optional
• 6pm ----- Dinner & Bonfire on Beach
• 9pm ---- Lights Out

Day 6 -- Travel to Arenal Volcano (Arenal Hotel)

• 8am ---- Breakfast
• 9am ---- Leave for Arenal Volcano; 5 hour drive
• 12pm ---- Stop for Lunch
• 3pm ---- Arrive to Arenal Volcano
• 4pm ---- Pool Time
• 6pm ---- Dinner & Evening Reflection with kids
• 9pm ---- Lights Out

Community Service

Day 7 -- Community Service Project (Arenal Hotel)

• 8am --- Breakfast
• 9am --- Leave for Community Service Project
• 12pm --- Lunch at the Community Service Project
• 2pm --- Visit Waterfall
• 5pm --- Arrive at Hotel
• 7pm --- Go out for dinner
• 9pm ---- Lights Out

Day 8 -- Zipline & Hotsprings (Arenal Hotel)

• 8am ---- Breakfast
• 10am ---- Zipline
• 12pm ---- Lunch
• 2pm ---- Visit Hotsprings
• 6pm ---- Farewell Dinner



Zipline Adventure

• 9pm ---- Lights Out

Day 9 -- Fly Home!

7am ---- Breakfast
8am ---- Leave for San Jose Airport (SJO)
11am ---- Arrive to Airport for mid-day flight
